Job Summary
Lead plant accounting for a manufacturing site in Solon, OH, overseeing the general ledger, internal accounting controls, timely monthly/quarterly closes, budgeting, financial analysis of operational results, inventory cycle counts, debt collection, and capital investment evaluations. Responsibilities include developing annual profit forecasts, overseeing annual inventory checks, training and assessing the controllership team, and providing regular financial updates to leadership and the Group Controller/Lebanon Site Manager. Requires collaboration with the Finance Director and adherence to established procedures, with a focus on accuracy, timely reporting, and continuous improvement of controllership capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related business major
- At least five years of plant accounting & finance experience in a manufacturing company
- In-depth understanding of cost accounting, general accounting, and auditing
- Proficiency in automated data processing systems
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbally and in writing
