Job Summary
Plant Controller to oversee all financial activities at the Romulus, MI facility, lead the plant accounting team, manage cost/general accounting, product costing, budgeting/forecasting, payroll accuracy, and partnerships with site leadership to drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement; responsible for financial reporting (income statements, balance sheets, year-end closing), internal controls, A/R/A/P processes, and maintenance of accounting systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (preferred)
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, cost and general accounting, manufacturing accounting, standard cost accounting, auditing, and budgeting
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
