Job Summary
Seasoned Plant Controller leading the financial operations of a $100M Gastonia, NC manufacturing plant. Responsible for month-end close, P&L reporting, variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting, product costing, inventory management, headcount reporting, and internal controls within a fast-paced matrix environment. Drives financial performance through SAP-based cost accounting, KPI reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with SQDC meetings and regional project controlling. Requires strong analytical and communication skills, advanced Excel, ERP/SAP proficiency, and a track record of delivering actionable financial insights to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in manufacturing or industrial finance
- Experience in fast-paced, matrix organizational structures
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- ERP system experience (preferably SAP)
- SAP ERP experience is preferred
- MBA (preferred)
- CPA or CMA certification (preferred)
- Onsite plant finance/controlling experience
- Ability to manage budgeting, forecasting, costing, and reporting processes
- Knowledge of internal controls and financial risk management
