Job Summary
Manage the monthly closing process and analytical review of plant financial statements for the Modesto location, including forecasting, budgeting, and manufacturing variance analysis. Lead the development of annual operating budgets and monthly forecasts while tracking daily labor and variable spend to optimize performance. Identify cost savings opportunities, analyze conversion costs, and drive operational improvements through A3 processes and standard costing initiatives. Support external and internal audits, ensure compliance with SOX requirements, and manage inventory audits to eliminate count variances. Provide financial leadership for capital management projects and educate staff on operational levers. This role supports the Plant Manager and participates in plant lead team initiatives focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA Required preferably in Accounting or Business
- 8+ years Accounting/Finance Experience, preferably in a manufacturing industry
- Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Applications
- Excellent analytical, data-manipulation, problem solving, and communication skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to seek resources as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with SAP, Business Information Warehouse and HFM desirable
