Job Summary
Plant Controller leading manufacturing finance in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include overseeing accounting, cost accounting, inventory controls, financial reporting, and ERP-driven process improvements; driving monthly close within a 3-day cycle; ensuring SOX compliance and coordinating external audits; developing and coaching a high-performing finance team; partnering with operations and senior leadership on strategic initiatives and cost productivity; maintaining accurate financial records and supporting operational decision-making through financial analysis and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Strong manufacturing, accounting and cost accounting background
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and ERP system experience
- Leadership experience managing or mentoring finance/accounting teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities
- Experience with SOX compliance and external audits
- Experience leading ERP upgrades or system implementations
- U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or otherwise ITAR-compliant
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
