Job Summary
Lead maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of plant-wide PLC and SCADA/HMI systems while managing third-party OT providers and a team of three automation technicians. Establish KPIs to maximize team efficiency and plant uptime, and oversee capital spend for all production-related automation systems throughout their lifecycle. Direct line automation needs including PLC programming, VFD setup, and communication protocols, while maintaining cybersecurity robustness and compliance with MINT and Automation standards across the OT infrastructure. Owns reliability and robustness of site security systems, serving as the ultimate escalation point for complex failures.
Required Qualifications
- Leadership in maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of plant-wide PLC (Siemens TIA Portal/S7, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley) and SCADA/HMI systems
- Facilitation and tracking of plant automation capital spend for all production related systems throughout the lifecycle
- Management of 3rd Party OT Providers relevant for plant operations
- Direction of a team of 3 automation technicians
- Acting as their technical mentor
- Managing workload distribution
- Serving as the ultimate escalation point for complex system failures
- Establishment of KPIs to maximize team efficiency and plant uptime
- Direction and assistance in line automation needs including PLC programming
- HMI integration
- Process innovation and improvement
- VFD & Servo drives set up
- SQLs
- Line synchronization
- Communication protocols between line components
- Remote access
- Designing of electronic & electrical installations and control systems
- Maintenance and improvement of the cybersecurity robustness state of the plant following MINT and Automation standards
- Plant compliance to company standards for automation, infrastructure (MINT) and cyber security
- Ownership of the OT infrastructure and network security (all levels: L3 to L0)
