Job Summary
Start and operate cast line equipment, including engaging the feed, observing the process, and assisting with changeovers. Inspect and measure completed pieces to verify conformity to customer standards while monitoring controls to ensure product compliance. Perform assigned preventative maintenance tasks and minor repairs, and coach assistants by providing clear instructions. Record quality and production metrics via written communication methods within time deadlines. Execute all work using a safety-first mentality and IPS lean manufacturing skills, including standing for up to 12 hours, working in space-limited areas, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ Years in a Manufacturing Environment experience
- Intermediate math skills
- English written communication skills
- General computer knowledge
- experience handling paperwork
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time
- Ability to work in space limited work area on continuous basis
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis
- Ability to perform the physical aspects of the role following recommended practices, with an emphasis on safety and injury prevention
