Job Summary
Plant Accountant at Plastipak’s Jackson Center, OH location responsible for supporting the full general ledger process (month-, quarter-, year-end closes), posting day-to-day transactions, overseeing monthly physical inventory and valuation, analyzing BOM costing, managing AR/AP and working capital, and conducting financial analyses with actionable recommendations, leveraging GAAP and SAP ERP knowledge to improve processes and financial performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 3 years of general accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
