Job Summary
Develop and communicate the weekly plant production plan balancing customer requirements, material availability, and operational constraints. Oversee material requirements planning for both Premier-owned and customer-owned materials while managing the procurement of plant-purchased materials. Serve as the key point of contact for customers regarding production planning, actual performance, and Sales & Operations Planning meetings. Lead daily discussions on production performance and attainment, proactively identify scheduling concerns, and provide direction to the Planning & Procurement Department. Utilize ERP systems such as SAP or MASS to maintain accurate item setup, Bills of Materials, and inventory transactions. Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Logistics, Quality, and the Lab to resolve operational issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Manufacturing, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience within a manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of experience in a Planning Manager, Procurement Manager, Supply Chain Manager, or comparable leadership role
- Strong experience with production planning, procurement, inventory management, and material requirements planning (MRP)
- Demonstrated ability to analyze information from multiple systems and translate data into effective production plans
- Strong understanding of inventory, MRP, and the financial impact of purchasing and production decisions
- Experience working with ERP, MRP, and/or WMS systems such as MASS, SAP, or similar platforms
- Working knowledge of item setup, Bills of Materials (BOMs), backflushing, inventory transactions, and related manufacturing system processes
- Proven ability to lead, develop, train, and hold employees accountable
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and plant leadership
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- The position may require walking, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds
