Job Summary
Oversee and coordinate all facets of pre-construction, bid, construction, and close-out phases for assigned projects. Review pre-construction documents, submit comments to designers, and prepare status reports for upper management. Manage project budgets and schedules monthly, monitor contractor activities, and review submittals and change orders to ensure compliance with specifications and District requirements. Coordinate with public agencies, District staff, and contractors via Requests for Clarifications, administer Professional Service Agreements, and manage project financial close-out with the Division of State Architects. Requires ten years of experience in commercial, public, or educational facility construction management with values between $500,000 and $5M. Salary range $140,000 to $155,000 per year. Onsite work in Los Angeles, CA.
Required Qualifications
- at least 10 years of experience in project and construction management within the Commercial, Public, or Educational Facility Construction sectors
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree
- Ten (10) years' full time professional experience in the Project/Construction Management of Commercial and/or Public/Educational Facility Construction with full responsibility for coordinating complex modernization projects with construction values between $500,000 and $5M
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Experience in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS)
- Experience with the Division of State Architects (DSA) construction/design/certification process
- A CCM certification from CMCI
- Modernization of existing K-12 educational facilities
