Planning Consultant

Job Summary
Manage your own planning caseload and deliver Site Appraisals, Planning Statements, EIA Screenings, and Design and Access Statements. Conduct planning policy examination, feasibility, and constraints analysis while coordinating in-house consultants, liaising with clients, and organizing site visits and team meetings. Prepare, submit, and monitor planning applications, manage sub-contractors, and produce fee proposals. This role requires RTPI accreditation or working towards it, minimum two years post-graduate planning experience, and excellent report writing skills. Based in Ballymena with hybrid working arrangements, the position offers competitive rewards including paid professional memberships and 25 days' holiday.
Required Qualifications
- RTPI accredited degree / postgraduate degree in Town Planning
- A minimum of 2 years post-graduation professional planning experience
- Chartered or working towards membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
- Excellent working knowledge of the UK Planning system, particularly Northern Ireland
- Demonstrable experience of the successful delivery and management of minor and/or major planning applications
- Attention to detail, reliability, and good organisational skills to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to project manage multi-disciplinary teams and multiple projects simultaneously
Desired Qualifications
- relevant experience in the renewables sector
- Knowledge of the Irish Planning System
