Job Summary
Planning and Forecasting Junior Analyst supports monthly, quarterly and annual planning and forecasting cycles, maintains and updates financial and demand models to produce accurate forecasts and scenario analyses, analyzes variances between actuals, budgets and forecasts with actionable explanations, prepares management reports and dashboards to support decision making across finance and commercial teams, works with stakeholders to resolve data gaps and improve forecast accuracy, and contributes to process improvements, automation and digital tools to increase efficiency and data quality. The role is based in Karachi, Pakistan, and requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, along with 2-3 years of relevant experience and strong Excel/BI tool skills (e.g., SAP, Power BI, Tableau). The posting emphasizes collaboration, learning new systems, and a practical problem-solving approach in supporting GSK’s forecasting and planning activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in financial planning, forecasting, demand planning, or related analytical roles
- Strong Excel skills, including use of formulas, pivot tables and basic modelling
- Clear written and spoken English for effective collaboration across teams
- Strong numerical and analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new systems and tools and to work collaboratively in a team
- Experience with planning or BI tools such as SAP, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with driver-based forecasting, variance analysis and budgeting cycles
- Experience with automation, data process improvements or use of AI-enabled tools for analysis
- Previous exposure to multi-stakeholder or matrix working environments
