Job Summary
Create and maintain production and delivery schedules to maximize on-time delivery and production efficiencies. Reschedule shop completion dates, prepare work order packets, and track machine utilization. Assist with cycle and inventory counts while ensuring accuracy of system transactions in J.D. Edwards. Prepare progress reports for the value stream and coordinate operation activities between streams with managers and purchasing. Participate in weekly planning meetings to review capacity constraints and labor needs, or lead Continuous Improvement initiatives. Requires a two-year degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing, proficiency in Excel and J.D. Edwards, and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Clear understanding of On Time Delivery (OTD) forecasting and scheduling of material requirements
- Proficient use of Excel Workbooks
- Two year degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing processes
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with J.D. Edwards ERP
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment and outside production services, as well as inventory control of these items
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills
- Proficient in M.S. Office
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge
