Job Summary
Originate and update integrated schedule systems using the critical path method, consolidating data from engineering, procurement, and construction functions to develop baseline time-phased schedules and work breakdown structures. Monitor contractor progress, verify monthly earned value, and analyze critical paths to develop work-around plans for schedule variances. Coordinate weekly schedule reviews and meetings with project leads to report status on upcoming milestones and ensure project deadlines are met. This W2 contract role in Houston, TX requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of scheduling experience for downstream projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years planning/scheduling experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in scheduling for small to large size downstream projects
- Minimum 8 years field scheduling experience on domestic projects
- Demonstrates ability to independently consolidate and analyze information from various sources to develop effective overall project schedules
- Technical competency in preparation of automate and integrated project controls
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in use of project planning software (Primavera version 6; MS Project;)
- BS Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or other equivalent experience i.e. mathematics, statistics or project administration
- Knowledge of Project Controls, Planning and Scheduling, Progress Measurement (Earned Value)
- Demonstrates effective organization and project planning skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrable ability to develop reports for, and presentations to management
- Ability to work with excel and build a pivot tables etc.
