Planner - Production and Material Planning

Job Summary
Material Planning (Buyer) responsibilities include raw material replenishment with a minimum 3-month visibility, securing delivery confirmations from suppliers, expediting material deliveries to support production and customer orders, bottleneck and allocation management for materials in shortage, ensuring master data integrity in SAP and add*ONE to enable automatic MRP planning, managing auto replenishment in warehouses, tracking supplier delivery performance, handling material life cycle changes (EOL/phase-in/out), and coordinating special procurement activities (Last Time Buy, MOQ issues). Production Planning duties cover rough and level production planning up to 24 months, aligning production capacity, releasing production orders, and ensuring on-time delivery of the right SKU mix. LPV responsibilities include NPI support, samples/pilot runs, cross-functional project participation, and ramp-up material readiness. Related qualifications emphasize a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields, 3-5 years of related experience, strong MS Office and SAP familiarity, and clear communication with overseas suppliers. The role is located in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia, and requires in-person work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business studies, Business Administration, International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in material planning, production planning or procurement (buyer)
- Experience in order management / demand planning is an added advantage
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office is a must
- SAP knowledge is an added advantage
- Able to communicate both written & verbal to suppliers in oversea (China)
