Planner, Mill Maintenance

Job Summary
Reporting to the Mill Maintenance Planning General Supervisor, the Mill Maintenance planner will plan shutdown and daily maintenance tasks across the milling complex (crushing, conveyors, grinding, flotation, filtering/drying, reclaim, leaching). Develop job/plan packages with necessary information for efficient scheduling and execution; verify scope of work on work orders; determine task sequence; identify health and safety risks with required permitting; develop work instructions; use KPIs such as work backlogs to improve maintenance efficiencies and availability. Requires minimum 5 years of supervisory/planning experience in a metallurgical processing plant or equivalent, a recognized trade qualification or technical diploma, and proficiency in planning, scheduling, MS Office, and CMMS; Grade 12; valid driver’s license. Working location is on-site at Highland Valley Copper, Logan Lake, BC, Canada, with a compensation range of CAD 108,000 - 133,000 per year; benefits and relocation not specified.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory/planning experience in a metallurgical processing plant or equivalent
- Recognized trade qualification, technical diploma or equivalent
- Understanding of planning and scheduling principles and procedures
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and working knowledge of a computerized maintenance management system
- Must have Gr.12 or equivalent
- Possess a valid driver’s license
