Job Summary
Forecast material requirements and manage inventory levels to ensure production continuity on a total cost basis. Maintain scheduling spreadsheets, processing engineering change orders, and develop material requisitions for purchased or manufactured parts. Coordinate flow of materials with purchasing and manufacturing teams while analyzing capacity needs to resolve delivery issues. Run shortage reports and detect transaction control errors to recommend corrective actions. Participate in SGA meetings and support production supervisors in meeting on-time delivery goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain, or a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated experience using ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, BAAN) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to independently manage production schedules, analyze material shortages, and resolve routine planning and inventory issues
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams
