Job Summary
Plan and manage work packages and shop orders for piping and mechanical systems across various stages of construction (SOC); review engineering drawings, 3D models, and vendor data sheets to define scope, sequencing, and production requirements; plan and coordinate installation of piping systems and mechanical equipment including propulsion and deck equipment; manage engineering change implementation including impact assessment, sequencing, and schedule alignment; sequence and prioritize manufacturing, assembly, and installation activities in collaboration with Production and Assembly Planning; track production progress, maintain ERP data accuracy, and report status, risks, and delays; liaise with Engineering, Production Control, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure alignment and resolve planning or production issues; support Stop Work processes and assess shop order impacts related to engineering changes; contribute to continuous improvement of planning processes, tools, and reporting; support and mentor junior planners as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, naval architecture, or related field) or technical trades certification in piping or mechanical disciplines
- 2–4 years of experience in production planning, mechanical engineering, production engineering, or trade-related roles
- Experience with piping systems, mechanical equipment, and shipboard systems
- Experience with ERP systems (IFS or Oracle) and CAD tools (AutoCAD, Cadmatic)
