Job Summary

Provide zoning, land use, and planning information to the public, developers, and stakeholders while supporting day-to-day operations of public agency permit centers. Conduct project site visits to gather data for planning applications and review development proposals for compliance with General Plans, Zoning Ordinances, and design guidelines. Process minor land use entitlements including Conditional Use Permits, Accessory Dwelling Units, and sign permits, and assist in preparing staff reports, resolutions, and CEQA documentation. Coordinate public noticing requirements and facilitate workshops, hearings, and EIR scoping meetings. Maintain municipal codes and assist with additional planning support as assigned by client agencies throughout the Greater Los Angeles area.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, City Planning, Urban Studies, Geography, or a related field
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant planning experience
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work products
  • Ability to quickly learn new policies, procedures, software, and planning regulations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and members of the public
  • Willingness to work onsite at client offices throughout the Greater Los Angeles area
