Job Summary
Contract Project Planner for a major UK infrastructure project in the Durham area. Responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating detailed project programmes using Primavera P6; producing integrated construction schedules and progress reporting; monitoring performance against baselines; identifying risks, delays and opportunities with mitigation strategies; conducting critical path analysis and supporting project recovery planning; preparing weekly/monthly progress reports for project and client stakeholders; supporting change control processes and assessing programme impact of variations; collaborating with engineering, procurement, construction, and commercial teams to ensure alignment; participating in planning and progress review meetings; assisting with forecasting and project controls activities. Essential requirements include extensive planning experience in construction/infrastructure sectors, advanced Primavera P6, CPM knowledge, and strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder-management skills. Desirable requirements include experience on major infrastructure, power, utilities, NEC contract familiarity, earned value management, Power BI, and relevant qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience as a Project Planner within construction, infrastructure, utilities, energy, or civil engineering sectors.
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Strong understanding of project planning principles and Critical Path Methodology (CPM).
- Experience developing and maintaining complex project schedules.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
