Planner/Estimator

Job Summary
Plan and coordinate the maintenance group’s work activities to boost workforce productivity. Responsibilities include reviewing engineering drawings for completeness, collaborating with Engineering to modify drawings, performing detailed planning activities (research, scoping, estimating material and labor, developing instructions, identifying tools/equipment, creating material lists), providing estimates of work hours and costs to customers, ordering/maintaining related materials, and keeping organized records. Work with Engineering, Maintenance, Foreman, and Group Leaders to achieve results; adjust schedules and work hours (occasional weekends/holidays). Ensure compliance with Company specifications, procedures, and regulatory requirements; review feedback and update tasks accordingly. Adhere to safety, health, and environmental policies; follow PPE procedures and plant rules. Training will be provided and progression in job level/pay grade will be determined by qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- Must have previous experience working in a similar position and/or previous experience in a Skilled Trade position (Electrician, Mechanic, Millwright, Machinist, Welder/Fabricator, etc.)
- Must have a basic level of knowledge and experience reading technical drawings
- Must have a basic level of knowledge and experience reading and following specifications and procedures
- Excellent attendance required
- Must possess good organizational and communication skills
- Team oriented, self-motivated, safety and quality conscious; requiring minimal supervision
- Must be willing to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge
- The ability to learn and use Microsoft Office and SAP

- Knowledge of OSHA/EHS procedures
