Job Summary

Plan and monitor truck runs and deliveries to ensure timely freight movement, minimizing empty miles and wait times. Identify loads two to seven days out, assign deliveries based on broker information, and oversee driver activities while addressing load refusals or service issues. Monitor road and weather conditions, communicate changes to brokers and customer service, and complete required reports. Answer calls and emails from drivers, terminal staff, and other departments.

Required Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in logistics or business administration
  • An acceptable combination of education and training
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a time sensitive, planning and organizing role
  • preferable in the transportation industry
  • Highly organized

  • ability to stay on top of current status
  • Sense of urgency
  • responsive to changes in a timely and efficient manner
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
