Job Summary
Plan and manage business unit-level inventory, including stores exchange pools and service center holdings, by balancing cost, quality, and delivery goals. Balance ABC analysis of inventory, monitor customer consignment parts, and dispose of excess or obsolete stock. Obtain vendor quotations to ensure favorable terms, research new products, and expedite orders by verifying demands and analyzing backlogs. Control data integrity by updating item master files, analyzing engineering changes, and monitoring past due purchase orders. Monitor performance metrics including inventory levels, shortages, opportunity costs, and supplier compliance. Interface with vendors, staff, and management to resolve discrepancies and recommend system enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Supply Chain, Business; or equivalent
- 4+ years in planning and purchasing
- 4+ years working with ERP/MRP planning modules and Excel analytics
- 4+ years working with BOM structures, demand planning and procurement processes
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Must meet US Persons requirements per ITAR
Desired Qualifications
- aerospace/aviation experience
- SAP experience
- Oracle experience
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, negotiation, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills
- Thorough knowledge of inventory control, purchasing and production management computer systems
- Completion of an appropriate certification program (PMAC, APICS, CPM or CMA)
- Excellent communication and supplier‐relationship skills
- Experience in an inventory or manufacturing environment
