Job Summary
Planner/Buyer based in Lisburn, UK, responsible for planning, organizing, scheduling and purchasing a portfolio of parts from vendors, ensuring supply continuity and inventory targets. Duties include procuring direct and indirect materials via SAP ERP, managing inbound supply chains, processing purchase orders and invoicing, maintaining inventory accuracy, replenishment and supplier-managed inventories, coordinating with SQE and Sourcing to reduce costs, and monitoring KPIs such as on-time delivery and supplier performance. Requires strong supply chain planning experience, SAP proficiency, analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills, and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Proven Supply Chain Planning experience
- Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts and application
- Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
- SAP system experience
- Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities
- Ability to collaborate across various functions and levels
- Monitor and report key performance metrics, including supplier on-time delivery, order execution, supplier payments
- Administers, in conjunction with SQE management, non-conforming supplier stock and replacements
- Sourcing to deliver deflation and persistently looks for and communicates opportunities for cost reduction/avoidance
- Communicates and works through issues that could impact the manufacturing process and elevating concerns as necessary
- Manages component change and the introduction of new parts through the planning process
- Relocation or local cost optimization considerations may be addressed in context of role
