Job Summary
Planner to manage production and material planning activities, develop and maintain production schedules based on forecasts and orders, create and manage work orders and material requirements, monitor inventory to ensure on-time production, coordinate with Purchasing/Engineering/Manufacturing/Quality to resolve material constraints, analyze demand trends and supplier lead times to optimize safety stock, implement changes impacting production schedules, and communicate updates to stakeholders. Requires strong organizational skills, analytical mindset, experience with MRP/ERP systems (preferably SAGE), proficiency in Excel, and ability to collaborate across functions in a high-tech manufacturing setting. This is an on-site role in Torrance, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, operations, or a related field (required)
- 2–5 years of experience in production or material planning in manufacturing or regulated environments
- Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (SAGE preferred or equivalent)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to interpret demand forecasts, BOMs, and production schedules
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
Desired Qualifications
- APICS CPIM
- Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.)
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
- 2–5 years of experience in production or material planning in a manufacturing or regulated environment
