Job Summary

Cultivate, solicit, and steward planned giving prospects and Catholic Heritage Society members through face-to-face visits, phone calls, written communications, emails, events, and direct response tools to secure gifts supporting the Diocese of Charlotte, Foundation, parishes, schools, and ministries. Assist in acquiring and growing endowments while tracking expected, pending, and mature planned gifts. Develop and monitor reports on planned gift strategies and benchmarks. Establish Parish Legacy Committees for 93 parishes and 20 schools, providing on-site leadership, guidance, and support during travels to parishes. Provide assistance with Catholic Heritage Society events and collaborate directly with donors daily. Requires minimum of 3+ years in professional fund development, Bachelor's degree or 5+ years experience, and strong written communication skills. Bilingual English-Spanish skills preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3+ years of demonstrated experience in the field of professional fund development
  • Bachelor's degree OR a minimum of 5+ years of demonstrated experience in the field of professional fund development (in lieu of bachelor's degree)
  • Must be comfortable initiating conversations and interacting effectively with donors, prospects, parish leaders, and all levels represented by the Church
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong organization, follow-up skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive materials
  • Ability to work independently and to take initiative and participate as an effective team member

Desired Qualifications

  • 3+ years specific to planned giving preferred
  • Community, Catholic Foundation, or diocesan experience preferred
  • Blackbaud Raiser's Edge/NXT experience preferred
  • Experience in ResearchPoint preferred
  • Bilingual English-Spanish skills preferred
