Job Summary
The Assistant General Manager at Planet Fitness is responsible for assisting with club operations to deliver an exceptional member experience. Key responsibilities include recruiting and training staff, managing schedules, providing outstanding customer service, resolving member issues, overseeing cleanliness and maintenance of the club, and tracking statistics and reports. Candidates must have a high school diploma, customer service experience, current CPR certification, and strong interpersonal skills. This role involves continual standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma/GED equivalent required
- One year of customer service experience preferably in a similar gym or retail environment
- Current CPR Certification required
- Hard working, enthusiastic and energetic with a passion for health and fitness
Desired Qualifications
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite)
- Ability to learn systems quickly
- Solid supervisory skills
- Strong customer service and problem resolution skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
