Job Summary
Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing staff for Member Service Representatives, Trainers, and Custodians while providing backup support to the Club Manager. Oversee daily club operations by scheduling shifts, resolving member issues, approving payroll, and maintaining facility cleanliness and safety. Lead by example at the front desk by greeting members, checking them in, and managing marketing promotions. Track weekly, monthly, and annual statistics to ensure financial success and maintain a welcoming "Judgement Free" atmosphere. Work closely with the Facilities and Maintenance team to address equipment repairs and supply ordering within budget.
Required Qualifications
- 18 year of age or older
- High school diploma/GED equivalent
- One to two years of experience working in a customer service environment preferably in a similar gym or retail environment
- Current CPR Certification
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Strong customer service and problem resolution skills
- Solid supervisory, diplomacy and listening skills
- Hard working, enthusiastic, energetic and a passion for health and fitness
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Valid driver's licence
- Acceptable driver record
- Own reliable means of transportation
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
