Job Summary
Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a high-performing staff of Member Service Representatives, Trainers, and Custodians. Provide backup support to the Club Manager by scheduling shifts, supervising staff, and resolving employee or member issues. Lead by example at the front desk by greeting members, checking them in, answering phones, and facilitating requests. Oversee facility cleanliness, maintenance, and safety while managing supply orders and tracking weekly, monthly, and annual statistics. Manage marketing promotions and ensure all staff are trained on current club requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 18 year of age or older
- High school diploma/GED equivalent
- One to two years of experience working in a customer service environment preferably in a similar gym or retail environment
- Current CPR Certification
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Strong customer service and problem resolution skills
- Solid supervisory, diplomacy and listening skills
- Hard working, enthusiastic, energetic and a passion for health and fitness
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Valid driver's licence
- Acceptable driver record
- Own reliable means of transportation
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
