Planer Setter/ Millwright

Planer Setter/Millwright responsible for setting up and maintaining planer machinery, ensuring proper tooling, knife changes, and a quality finish. Duties include operating and maintaining the planer through the full production cycle, performing preventive maintenance and minor repairs, assisting with major repairs via the maintenance department, and participating in maintenance training and competency assessments. Must interpret caliper measurements, follow PPE and lockout procedures, work outdoors, stand for long periods, and occasionally perform heavy lifting. Requires familiarity with controls, maintenance procedures, and the ability to supply personal hand tools. Weekend work may be required as needed. Provides housekeeping as directed by supervisor and supports maintenance of related machines within the department.
