Job Summary
Analyze plumbing designs and plans for compliance with local, state, and required standards, verifying submittals for efficiency, safety, and performance. Provide feedback and guidance to architects, engineers, designers, and contractors regarding code violations or inconsistencies. Maintain thorough records of all reviews, including comments and approvals, while engaging in professional development to stay updated on evolving regulations. Coordinate with clients, inspectors, and state officials to ensure proper enforcement and administration of building codes. This part-time role requires 5-20 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of local, state and required plumbing codes
- Ability to analyze plumbing designs and plans for compliance with required standards for efficiency, safety and performance
- Ability to provide feedback and guidance to ensure compliance
- Ability to verify plan submittals adhere to codes
- Ability to identify plan inconsistencies or code violations
- Ability to maintain thorough records of plan reviews, including comments, and approvals or rejections
