Job Summary
Execute daily transportation plans by assigning loads to drivers based on availability, location, and route efficiency. Monitor driver geo-location, load completion, and GPS tracking to anticipate interruptions from traffic, weather, or maintenance issues. Adjust plans immediately for customer requests, extended dwell times, or regulatory changes while ensuring compliance with DOT laws and state/federal requirements. Act as the primary contact for drivers, customers, and brokers to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and fuel stops, managing documentation such as BOLs and gate passes. Minimize deadhead miles by optimizing fleet utilization and working with maintenance teams to schedule repairs.
