Job Summary
Independently manage a caseload from initial evaluation through resolution, including drafting complaints, pleadings, motions, and discovery while conducting depositions and handling court appearances, mediations, and negotiations. Prepare cases for arbitration or trial as needed and maintain accurate documentation to ensure all deadlines are met. Communicate regularly with clients regarding strategy and progress while collaborating with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. Provide mentorship to junior attorneys and uphold the firm's commitment to exemplary client service. Requires an active California Bar license, five years of relevant experience, and the ability to work full-time on-site in Burbank.
Required Qualifications
- Active California Bar license in good standing
- Minimum of five years of relevant legal experience
- Experience in plaintiff-side personal injury, habitability, landlord-tenant law, or civil litigation
- Ability to independently manage cases from evaluation through resolution
- Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and case evaluation skills
- Experience drafting substantive pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines effectively
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service
- Ability to work full-time and on-site at our Burbank office
Desired Qualifications
- Significant plaintiff-side litigation experience
- Experience handling depositions, court appearances, mediations, and settlement conferences
- Trial preparation or first-chair trial experience
- Experience managing a high-volume caseload
- Leadership or mentorship experience
- Spanish fluency
