Placement Specialist - Child Welfare

Conduct timely and accurate intake, assessment, and coordination of out-of-home care for children in foster care, residential, and acute behavioral settings. Authorize initial services and requests based on Protective Investigator and Case Manager directives, while assisting in developing initial plans of action and making referrals. Routinely attend Children Medical Assessment Team meetings, disruptions, and multi-disciplinary staffings to support the integration and stabilization of children into therapeutic and medical care. Act as a liaison between foster parents, case management agencies, and Department of Children and Families staff to ensure appropriate placements are maintained. Cover overnight and occasional weekend shifts, assuming on-call responsibilities outside normal hours, while safely operating a motor vehicle.
