Job Summary
Conduct strategic partnerships with industries and businesses across Tamil Nadu's 132 ITIs to understand sector-specific hiring needs and expectations. Build and sustain relationships with industry stakeholders, including Women and Tribal ITIs, while documenting good practices to create replicable engagement models. Facilitate regular communication between institutions and partners beyond placements, such as co-curriculum input, guest sessions, and exposure visits for learners and educators. Plan and execute regional placement strategies, including building an annual activity calendar, running employer engagement events, and anchoring review meetings to track progress against state transition targets. Design and implement alumni tracking strategies to understand learner trajectories post-completion, utilizing interns and partner institutions. Manage interns or fellows supporting the Tamil Nadu placement portfolio, set performance objectives, and ensure timely submission of monthly and quarterly donor and program reports.
Required Qualifications
- 4 to 6 years of experience in the placement of candidates at the Fresher level of an NGO or of Technical institutes
- Knowledge of liasioning with companies and experience in industry connect including the role of placement of students within organizations
- Previous experience in customer/client contact, especially establishing and developing effective links with companies in the relevant discipline/field
- Experience in working & training young adults for Jobs, OJT etc
- Good computer skills and is good at Data analysis
- Must be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the placements service
- Willing to undertake external visits & should be open to traveling
- Must be a team player and be able to negotiate and consult with all those engaged internally and externally within the placement space
