Job Summary
Design and develop individualized plans for participants by determining work activities, educational programs, and training needs. Conduct skills assessments to identify barriers and establish eligibility for supportive services like child care and transportation. Monitor monthly progress toward vocational goals and update client case files to ensure compliance with program regulations. Maintain communication with employment organizations, educational programs, and county specialists while completing necessary documentation and forms. Partner with participants to achieve stated outcomes and ensure all performance metrics are met.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Reside in San Diego County
- Full-time (Mon-Fri) in-office work
- 8am-5pm work schedule
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Ability to work with and relate to participants
- Demonstrate active listening skills
- Display a professional level of empathy for participants
- Respect for cultural differences
- Ability to learn specialized databases and software systems
- Excellent customer relation techniques
- Superior verbal and communications skills
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to recognize and maintain the confidentiality of all materials in the work setting
- Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with federal, state and county agencies as well as the general public
- Ability to partner with and motivate participants with both physical and/or mental disabilities
- Ability to maintain a record keeping and follow-up system
- Ability to work independently, requiring minimal supervision and on multiple projects simultaneously
