Job Summary
Coordinate teacher candidate placements in student teaching experiences by managing partnerships with school districts, community partners, and faculty to ensure successful completion of clinical requirements. Provide advising and support services to candidates regarding progression through professional education requirements, licensure readiness, and program completion while maintaining accurate documentation for compliance. Monitor candidate readiness and maintain records within institutional systems, including background checks, liability insurance, and licensure application processes. Collect, analyze, and report data related to placement, advising, and candidate progression to support assessment, accreditation, and continuous improvement activities. Collaborate with the Director of the Center for Student Success and Teacher Education Unit stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and partner satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree plus one year of professional experience in an education setting
- Bachelor's degree plus two years of professional experience in an education setting
- Three years of professional experience in an education setting
- Equivalent combination of postsecondary training, education and/or professional experience
- Experience working directly with students
- Demonstrated oral, verbal, and written communication skills sufficient to communicate in writing, over the phone, and prepare and deliver presentation
- Demonstrated ability for creative problem solving and the ability to understand complex systems
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Access, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to speak in public
- The successful candidate must be able to lawfully accept employment in the United States by the day employment begins
Desired Qualifications
- Professional Work Experience with P-12 schools
- Professional Work Experience in post-secondary education
- Demonstrated Knowledge in student advising models
- Demonstrated ability for handling multiple projects simultaneously
