Job Summary
Operate a front-end loader or dozer to stockpile materials from railcars and load customer trucks accurately. Perform pre-shift safety inspections, conduct preventative maintenance, and report necessary repairs to supervision. Ensure cargo meets safety requirements while maintaining good housekeeping and assisting with plant maintenance. Adhere strictly to MSHA/OSHA rules and work with minimum supervision. Complete pre-shift inspection reports and communicate vehicle movements via CB radio or hand signals. Work 12-hour night shifts with possible weekends, overtime, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of heavy construction equipment
- 1 year of Heavy Equipment experience
- Must be able to work 12 hour shifts
- Must be able to read equipment operating manual
- Must be able to complete pre-shift inspection report
- Must be able to communicate over CB radio or with hand signals and warning sounds
- Possess basic mathematical aptitude
- Must be able to wear all required safety equipment
- Must be able to perform duties in a safe manner
- Must be able to read and interpret gauges
- Must be service oriented with proven ability to work in a TEAM environment
- Must have good hand/eye coordination
- Possess good vision to perceive depth at close range and distances up to 150 feet
- Must be able to climb on and off equipment
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel in limited space
- Must be able to sit and operate equipment for long periods up to 10+ hours per day
- Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
- Must work outside in all weather conditions
- Must be able to work at various heights
- Must be able to work in areas where noise levels are up to 85 dbs
- Must attend New Hire Orientation and Safety Training in person at our Corporate Office located in Dallas, Texas
