Job Summary
Pit Loader Operator responsible for safely operating a pit loader and maintaining the quality of product stockpiles, while promoting site safety and providing leadership of truck drivers onsite. Daily duties include operating a pit loader per company guidelines and safety standards, conducting pre- and post-shift inspections, reporting needed repairs, ensuring safe operation around conveyors, surge piles and crushers, performing preventative maintenance on equipment, maintaining safe traffic flow, operating other equipment as needed (e.g., excavators and haul trucks), and assisting in coworker training. Must have a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience and experience operating mobile/construction equipment; six months of front-end loader experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this position
- Have experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment, construction equipment and/or equipment used processing plants
- Have six (6) months of experience in the operation and maintenance of a front-end loader (preferred)
