Pit Loader Operator

Operate a pit loader within company guidelines and safety standards while maintaining safe working speeds and asserting leadership of truck drivers onsite. Complete daily pre and post inspections of working areas, ensuring adequate berms and roadways, and perform pre-shift safety checks on equipment to report needed repairs. Execute daily preventative maintenance including tire pressure, oil, grease, diesel fuel, hose leak checks, and moving parts function. Ensure safe operations around conveyors, surge piles, and crushers while maintaining safe traffic flow throughout the site. Operate other equipment such as excavators and haul trucks as needed and aid in co-worker training. Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor. This role supports the Magnesia Specialties business at Benson Quarry in North Carolina, producing high-purity magnesia and dolomitic lime products.
