Job Summary
Piping Superintendent for fossil-power projects to oversee field activities, supervise foremen and craft workers, coordinate with engineers and equipment manufacturers, manage schedule and cost, ensure installation to drawings and manufacturer tolerances, mentor junior staff, review labor rates, handle change orders, maintain detailed records, and collaborate with client, engineer, and vendors to ensure project success.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years' construction experience with 3+ years being in a Superintendent/Leadership capacity
- Hands on experience with piping installation and welding
- Must be familiar with ASME B31.1 or B31.3 and AWS
- Ability to read fabrication drawings, spool drawings, isometrics, and P&IDs
- Familiarity with 3D engineering models
- Ability to coordinate with other trades (structural, scaffold, insulation, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation)
- Experience in piping systems testing and commissioning is a plus
- Knowledge of rigging practices is a plus
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to travel and work at various locations
- Regular attendance and safety-consciousness
