Job Summary

Conduct piping stress analysis, vibration monitoring, and hydraulic transient evaluations for nuclear projects in accordance with ASME B31.1 and B&PV Section III codes. Prepare complex calculations, system designs, and documented input for P&IDs and Master Diagrams while reviewing simple designs and vendor specifications. Support project budgets, schedules, and work plans by monitoring deliverables and communicating technical findings to team members and managers. Mentor entry-level engineers and leverage automation tools to streamline design workflows and reduce rework. This hybrid role requires three days in-office and offers competitive compensation ranging from $64,262 to $98,178.

Required Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Aerospace, or Structural/Civil Engineering, from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program, with an emphasis in solid mechanics, structural analysis, theory of elasticity, metallurgy, and finite element analysis
  • 3 or more years of relevant experience
  • Must have knowledge of ASME B31.1 and ASME B&PV Section III piping codes
  • Knowledge of the design, selection, and application of pipe supporting elements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a citizen of a country listed in Appendix A to Part 810 of the Code of Federal Regulations
  • This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week, giving you the flexibility to work remotely for two days

Desired Qualifications

  • P.E. license
  • Working knowledge of commercially available piping products and their application
  • The ability to navigate a 3D CAD model
  • Experience with AutoPIPE or PIPESTRESS software
  • Knowledge of gas dynamics and hydraulic transients
  • Knowledge of pipe condition assessment
  • Programming or scripting (e.g., Python, MATLAB, advanced Excel) to automate calculations, design checks, reporting, or data transformation
  • Additional learning, such as a minor, certificate, or other training in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields that helps you apply automation or agentic AI to real engineering problems
