Piping Operations Supervisor

Job Summary
Piping Operations Supervisor responsible for managing the fabrication and installation of piping systems. You will meet with clients or clients’ representatives to gather information from Operations Leadership, project managers, and engineers. Tasks include estimating labor, materials, logistics, and costs; preparing project costs and proposals; issuing purchase orders; establishing manpower and equipment; directing field installation crews; and routinely communicating with clients and field crews to monitor progress, ensure scope completion, and finalize billing. Requires interpreting PI&Ds and drawings, ASME B31.1 proficiency, field sketching, and strong communication; based at The Navy Yard in Philadelphia with an emphasis on delivering quality, on-time project execution across industrial/maritime projects.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education or Equivalent (GED)
- 5+ years’ work history in fabricating and installing piping systems in a field environment
- Must be able to interpret PI&Ds, construction drawings, specifications, bid packages
- Well versed in ASME B31.1
- Able to field sketch as needed to bring information back to shop for fabrication
- Well versed with Microsoft Office, Excel
- Excellent communication skills and a team player
- Strong customer-service focus
- Work flexible hours to meet installation needs
- Able to work overtime when needed
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- OSHA /10 safety training required; provided by Rhoads; up-to-date is a plus
- The Work Environment involves exposure to construction/industrial areas with PPE
