Piping Field Coordinator - Energy Construction

Job Summary
Supervise subcontractor operations and lead field crews on jobsites while ensuring health and safety compliance. Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups; review engineering plans and specifications to assess risks and identify discrepancies. Perform material and quantity takeoffs, conduct field surveys for elevation and control points, and assist in generating change orders and as-built data. Compile daily labor timesheets, enter data into the job cost system, and prepare purchase orders and subcontracts. Support engineers in gathering data for submittals to vendors, customers, and governmental agencies. Work during normal operating hours with overtime and weekends as required, traveling across Alberta and Canada to meet project deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years' construction field experience with a focus on piping
- Work experience in engineering and leading engineers
- Undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to travel and relocate as needed
- Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environment
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
