Job Summary
Support piping stress and flexibility analysis using CAESAR II to assess system performance and code compliance. Assist in developing engineering work packages, including field walkdowns, P&ID markups, piping layouts, isometrics, and construction documentation. Participate in asset integrity assessments, feasibility studies, and detailed engineering for facility modifications. Provide technical assistance during engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup phases to resolve issues and support project execution. Review vendor documentation, respond to Requests for Information, and conduct design reviews while ensuring adherence to ASME, API, and ANSI standards.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a 2nd or 3rd year bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong interest in piping engineering, stress analysis, asset integrity, and industrial facility design
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues and apply engineering principles
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and willingness to work in both office and field environments
- Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver's license or equivalent out of province license with a reasonably clean driver abstract and be comfortable driving work trucks in a safe manner
- All candidates applying to Canadian Natural must have legal authorization to work in Canada with no restrictions
- 5 days on, 2 days off (Monday to Friday) work schedule
- 12 Months term length
