Piping Engineer

Job Summary
Review supplier documentation, perform quality reviews, and track document progress while managing suppliers throughout the project. Support construction and commissioning by selecting pipe materials, preparing BoQ estimates, and creating new pipe classes based on process requirements. Prepare technical specifications for pipe materials and supports, provide piping detail engineering support, and conduct strength calculations. Maintain standard documentation including work instructions and contribute to improving existing procedures. This role requires 7+ years of experience in piping design for heavy industrial, power, or oil and gas plants, with expertise in ASME/EN codes and 3D design tools like COMOS and Navisworks. Fluency in English is required, with German being an advantage.

- Very good product and system knowledge
- Expertise in piping materials

- Expertise in prefabrication
- Expertise in cleaning
- Expertise in erection
- Expertise in quality assurance (workshop and erection)
- Expertise in pressure test procedures
- 7+ years of experience in piping design of heavy industrial plants
- 7+ years of experience in piping design of power plants
- 7+ years of experience in piping design of Oil and Gas plant
- Knowledge of 3D design tools
- Knowledge of CAE tools (e.g. COMOS)
- Knowledge of 3D viewers (e.g. Navisworks)
- Fluency in English
- Proficient problem-solving
- Proficient communication
- Proficient coordination capabilities
