Job Summary

Develop piping layouts and detailed designs for steam turbine generator systems, including main steam, reheat, and auxiliary steam. Create 3D models and 2D drawings for GA, isometrics, and sections while coordinating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams. Incorporate vendor data and turbine package drawings into project designs, ensuring compliance with ASME B31 codes. Support clash detection, model reviews, and constructability assessments, and assist with pipe support layout. Participate in site visits, field walkdowns, and brownfield tie-ins to maintain drawing revisions per EPC procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical diploma in Drafting, Design, or Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • 5+ years of piping design experience on power generation or heavy industrial EPC projects
  • Experience with high-pressure, high-temperature steam systems
  • Proficiency with Inventor, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and AutoCAD
  • Strong understanding of EPC execution phases
  • Knowledge of ASME B31 codes, piping materials, valves, fittings, and supports
  • Ability to read P&IDs, equipment data sheets, and vendor drawings
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with combined cycle, fossil, cogeneration, or renewable power EPC projects
  • Exposure to pipe stress analysis coordination and thermal growth considerations
  • Brownfield or retrofit project experience
  • Construction support or field engineering experience
  • Experience working with multi-office EPC teams
