Job Summary
Piping Construction Manager responsible for detailed planning, estimating and scheduling of industrial piping construction work at the Alexandria, LA site. Oversees constructability reviews, develops construction plans and deliverables, prepares detailed cost estimates for mechanical & process piping, maintains engineering and drawing files, conducts material takeoffs and requisitions, writes subcontractor bid packages, coordinates resources across projects, and interfaces with Owner & Engineers. Emphasizes safety, cost, schedule, and quality targets, and collaborates with contractors to optimize crew size and skill sets while ensuring adherence to procedures and turnover processes.
Required Qualifications
- 5-7 years of piping/mechanical estimating experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Time management and organizational skills
- Capability to handle multiple projects
- Constructability & strategy leadership
- Organization and documentation through punch lists and turnover
- Industry practices and procedures
- Collaboration and team-building
- Problem solving & negotiating skills
- Strong MS Office skills
- Experience with piping/mechanical estimating systems (e.g., Sage, MCAA)
- Experience with field supervision to determine optimal crew size and skill sets
- Experience with equipment setting packages
