Job Summary
Prepare and review detailed mechanical, piping, and structural drawings and bill of materials based on customer requirements. Develop bulk Material Take-Offs and detailed BOMs independently, ensuring compliance with engineering, QA/QC, and industry standards. Create equipment layouts, presentation drawings, and FAT sequence procedures while coordinating outsourced engineering activities and reviewing vendor documentation. Generate reports and model data to support project execution and participate in lessons learned initiatives. Support troubleshooting through drawing simulations and design modifications. Work within a global energy technology firm focused on digital innovation and sustainable practices across the oil and gas and hyperscale data center sectors.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical, piping, and structural design within industrial, modular, or hyperscale data center environments
- Experience in EPC modular drafting and design environments
- Strong understanding of CAD and BIM workflows and best practices
- Ability to create detailed drawings and sketches to communicate design concepts effectively
- SolidWorks
- Autodesk AutoCAD
- Navisworks Manager / Freedom
- Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
- PDF editing software (Adobe Acrobat, Foxit, or equivalent)
- Technical certification in drafting, design, or related discipline
- General understanding of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations, including: ASME, ASTM, ANSI, OSHA, NFPA, AWS, ASHRAE, AISC, IBC, SMACNA, TEMA, MSS, PFI, NACE, AHRI, AMCA
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with shifting priorities
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
- Ability to build positive working relationships with clients and stakeholders
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Schedule: 1st shift (8 AM – 5 PM)

- Familiarity with facility electrical systems and related infrastructure
