Job Summary
Operate and maintain pipeline and terminal facilities; perform valve inspections and pipe work (cutting, threading, bolting/unbolting flanges), pipeline coating application, scraper tracking, and operating related equipment (hand tools, power tools, forklifts, etc.). Support maintenance, repair, and environmental/safety compliance programs; coordinate with management, co-workers, and external agencies; maintain documentation; train as needed; and respond to emergencies during on-call 24/7 shifts. Requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, effective communication, and adherence to site policies and regulatory requirements. Based at the Sand Island Terminal in Honolulu, Hawaii, with regular weekends/holidays and on-call responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Trade School or 2-year college degree preferred
- Related experience in terminal, pipeline or plant operations preferred
- General knowledge or experience in the petroleum industry preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent analytical skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Must possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License with acceptable Driver’s Abstract
- Active Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
